SwimSpray - FAQ
Q: Can I use SwimSpray with my regular shampoo or soap?
A: Yes. SwimSpray is designed specifically for you to use with your favorite shampoo. SwimSpray is fragrance free, so that you can use it with whatever products that you like.
Q: How do I use SwimSpray?
A: After swimming, rinse off in the shower. Next, spray SwimSpray on your hair and skin. Then, shower normally with your favourite shampoo and soap.
Q: How long should I leave SwimSpray on my body or hair before rinsing?
A: Just a few seconds. SwimSpray immediately neutralises chlorine. If you don't want to use shampoo or soap with SwimSpray, simply rinse off in the shower, spray SwimSpray on your hair and skin, and then rinse off the SwimSpray with water. That will eliminate the chlorine and you won't smell like chlorine.
Q: What is SwimSpray?
A: Vitamin C. Yes, it's that simple. We found that many people want to minimise the things that they put on their body. Accordingly, SwimSpray is 100% natural with only two ingredients: water and vitamin C. Compare that ingredient list with your other products!
Q: Can I use SwimSpray to eliminate chlorine from my swimsuit?
A: Yes. SwimSpray will neutralize chlorine from your swimsuit. We've noticed that neutralising the chlorine prolongs the life of your swimsuit by reducing the negative effects of chlorine. Your suit will not degrade as quickly and its color won't fade as fast. Simply rinse your swimsuit in non-chlorinated water, then spray SwimSpray on your suit. Then, rinse out your swimsuit again. For swimmers who leave their suit on during showering, you can wash your suit while you're washing your body.
Q: Sometimes SwimSpray tingles my skin. Why is that?
A: SwimSpray is slightly acidic, like orange juice or lemon juice. If your skin is irritated, SwimSpray may cause your skin to tingle, just like if you poured lemon juice on dry/irritated skin. Our customers report that the tingling feeling goes away with prolonged use because SwimSpray makes your skin less irritated with continued use. One customer reports: "I had some issues with skin irritation/stinging, but that was only in areas where the skin was already really dry. But after continual use, those areas resolved since the chlorine wasn't drying it out post-swim, and it is no longer irritating" - Andy S.
Q: What should I do if I accidentally swallow SwimSpray?
A: Relax. Because SwimSpray's active ingredient is Vitamin C, getting a little in your mouth won't harm you. Arguably swallowing a little SwimSpray gives your body it's daily dose of vitamin C! However, it will taste sour. We do recommend avoiding contact with eyes. It will sting your eyes. If contact with eyes occurs, simply rinse eyes with water ASAP. You will be fine.
Q: Who can use SwimSpray?
A: Anyone who doesn't want to smell like chlorine and dislikes the way chlorine irritates their skin or discolors their hair. SwimSpray was designed for the competitive athlete as well as the occasional swimmer. SwimSpray can be used several times a day for those athletes who have morning and evening practice.
Q: Can I use SwimSpray on my kids?
A: Yes. Just treat SwimSpray like you would any soap or shampoo, avoiding the eyes. We recommend using SwimSpray on children over the age of 6 months.
Q: How long is SwimSpray effective after I open it?
A: SwimSpray is effective for two years without any decrease in its performance. You can preserve the effectiveness of SwimSpray by storing it in a cool, dark environment. Also, don't open the bottle because exposing SwimSpray to air and light will cause it to degrade more rapidly.
Q: How many swims will a 118ml bottle of SwimSpray last me?
A: Our 118ml bottle provides over 600 sprays or approximately 20-30 swims depending on how many sprays you use each time. For example, if you have longer hair, you will use a few more sprays than someone who has shorter hair.

Q: What is SwimSpray's Privacy Policy?
A: It's pretty simple - we don't share your information with anyone outside of SwimSpray.
Q: What should I do if my bottle clogs?
A: SwimSpray provides a relatively concentrated vitamin C solution (more value for you). Sometimes, when the bottles undergo temperature changes, the vitamin C can solidify, which can cause clogging. If this happens to you, simply remove the spray cap and pump it in the air to clear the clog. Then, reseal your bottle, making sure that it is tightly closed. The SwimSpray in your bottle is not effected by any clogging issues that you experience.
Q: Why does my SwimSpray turn brown after a while?
A: SwimSpray is made with all natural vitamin C. We do not add preservatives. As a result, your SwimSpray will react with the oxygen in the air, just like apples, avocados, orange juice, and other fresh foods. It may turn brown over time, especially if you open the bottle and allow oxygen inside. Here, we make sure to include plenty of vitamin C, so that even the small amount of degradation that causes the amber/brown color does not lessen SwimSpray's effectiveness.
